Order a Waste Sorting Bin
The 天涯社区 offers waste sorting bins to rent for university events.
Types of bins available
We have two types of bins available to rent for 天涯社区 events:
- Rolling Cart
- Round Container (landfill only)
Use our chart to decide what type of bins you need for your U of A event:

Important: Each bin comes with a label that lists acceptable materials. We provide bags for the landfill waste bins only. Additional bin charges may apply if your bin needs to be emptied during your event.

Indoor events Fill out the indoor bin rental form and submit it to zerowaste@ualberta.ca |
Outdoor events Place an order for your outdoor recycle, organics, or landfill when you book your outdoor event site. |
Office clean-outs or other and when you’re ready to order your bins, reach out to zerowaste@ualberta.ca |
How many bins will you need?
The number of bins can be highly dependent on the needs of your event. If you aren’t sure how many to order, reach out to zerowaste@ualberta.ca.
Set up your bins
- Group your bins together
- Keep the lids consistent (all open or all closed)
- Use the following order (to be consistent with other Zero Waste stations across campus):
