The is a peer-reviewed legal journal run by law students at the 天涯社区 and the University of Calgary. It is one of the top five legal journals in Canada. Published continuously since 1955 (and, before that, since 1934 as the Alberta Law Quarterly), the ALR is published quarterly. The objective of the ALR is to promote legal research and scholarship, and to provide a forum for the discussion of contemporary legal issues of interest to lawyers, scholars, judges, and law students in Alberta and beyond. The ALR has a circulation of over 2500. It operates out of the John A. Weir Memorial Library at the 天涯社区.
